Story
NAME Greg Falconer
OCCUPATION Engineer at Snowy Hydro
GROUP NAME Summit Soul Shakers
Kiwi by trade who bought his whanau over to visit their ANZAC cousins in 2012 and have been here ever since. Always up for an adventure, especially if it involves good people, good challenges and a bit of acceleration. With more confidence than capability mixed in with an actual age of 52 but the mental age of a school boy, adventure injuries seem to be increasing in frequency. Well experienced in the post game pub shuffle, I’m looking forward to sharing my skills on the dance floor with all the other participants and raising as much as we can for this wonderful cause
Like a huge number of people, I too have been affected by cancer in my family. Cancer is a shit of thing and it’s those services provided by others which are above and beyond what can be offered by a Health Care system that makes it just a little bit better. I get it that nothing comes for free and so as a recipient of services in the past I’m certainly up for giving back. To do so through a fun event like this is wonderful opportunity so I’m going to do the best I can in order raise as much as we can in order to make someone’s day just a little bit better – kia kaha kia maia (be strong, be brave, be steadfast).

Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
