Group name: Le Freak Show
Born in Cooma and have live here for most of my life apart from when I moved to St Greg’s boarding school where I spent the last 3 years of my schooling. I then moved to Cairns in far North Queensland for a gap year working in a boarding school.
I moved back to Cooma after my gap year and proceeded to start my plumbing apprenticeship working with my dad and the family business Quod’s Plumbing Services.
The MCCR is a great locally based group of Individuals who put so much work and time into organising these events to raise much needed funds for our community. This has me well and truly out of my comfort zone, however I’ll give it a crack to help raise money for a great cause.
Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
