Story

NAME  TASH STEWART

OCCUPATION  HR & OFFICE MANAGER

GROUP NAME  MIRROR BALL MAVERICKS

I am a born and bred Bombala girl and have made my home here with my husband Clay and three girls; Bry, Miller & Harper.

I have worked for Growth Farms for over 15 years and am lucky to spend my workdays with a great bunch of ladies who are both supportive and inspiring.

I am also proud to be part of the Junior Rugby League Football Club as a league tag coach. This has been one of the most rewarding things I have done, and I love seeing young girls developing new skills and building friendships with their teammates.

I love playing sport and keeping active and enjoy the challenge of training and working towards a goal. The best part is the life-long friendships it has given me over the years.

What an honour to be asked to participate in an amazing fundraiser for our local community! Knowing that the funds go directly to support cancer services to assist locals has made the decision easy.

Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated

The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
